Located in the farming district of the Central South region, Kondinin has become a stopover for travellers heading to one of Western Australia's bestknown natural attractions - Wave Rock at Hyden. Examples of Aboriginal art can be found in the vicinity of Hyden. Two areas worth a visit are Gnamma Holes and The Humps, where Bates Caves has many Aboriginal rock paintings on the walls and ceilings. The bestpreserved examples are hand outlines.
Seven kilometres west of the township is Kondinin Lake, a popular spot for watersports with excellent facilities for waterskiing and yachting in years when there is sufficient rainfall.
