A small coastal town, Guilderton is situated in the Midlands region of Western Australia at the mouth of the Moore River. This picturesque location is a popular destination for holidaymakers who are attracted by the excellent fishing opportunities in both the sea and the river.

Dreams of finding some treasure from the Dutch East Indies vessel Gilt Dragon, wrecked off the coast here over three centuries ago in 1665, add spice to a visit. Over the years many Dutch relics, believed to have come from the wreck, have been found in the sands near the mouth of the river.

In the spring months wildflowers are prolific in the countryside surrounding Guilderton and every Easter the town is the host for the exciting King of the River event.
