иммигрантов, поэтому все здесь чувствуют себя как дома...
Русскоговорящих
в Австралии немного, порядка 80-100 тысяч человек, из них примерно поровну
- (по 30 тысяч) осели в Сиднее и Мельбурне. В Сиднее самым "русским" районом
считается Бондай (Bondi): здесь 2 русских ресторана, шикарный еврейский
клуб и аж целых 2% жителей -- выходцы из бывшего СССР. 9 православных храмов
разбросаны по всему городу и, естественно, кто-то из прихожан живет рядом.
Остальные 95% селятся как Бог на душу положит, благо места возле 1000 пляжей
и 3,5 тысяч парков в 850 районах города хватает. Русскоязычная община находится
(по процентному составу) где-то за тридцатым местом среди прочих общин.
Лидируют (из неанглоговорящих) - греки и итальянцы, а в русскоязычной среде
очень сильно влияние выходцев из Одессы.
На государственном
канале телевидения SBS шесть раз в неделю утром после китайских и перед
французскими новостями идет программа "Вести". Радио SBS 5 раз в неделю
дает местную передачу на русском языке. Есть русский канал на кабельном
TV. Те же, кто имеет систему спутникового телевидения, могут принимать
ОРТ.
Выходят 3-4 русские
газеты, из них самая популярная еженедельник "Горизонт". Кроме "Горизонта"
выходит еще одна газета примерно такого же уровня - "Взгляд", ряд газет
попроще, можно встретить американскую "Панораму" и "Новое русское слово",
французскую "Русское слово", Российские "Аргументы и факты".
